We got our first taste of BioShock Infinite 7 years ago

DON'T look at this until after you've beaten BioShock Infinite. Seriously, come back after you have.

For the rest of you that have cleared the game, you're about to have your minds blown. (BioShock: Infinite, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Huh. I'd honestly never noticed that before. I thought you were going to make a comparison between the Songbird and Delta's deaths but that's actually quite interesting.

Hmmm. Id like to ask K. Levine about this. That would be quite the feat if they connected Songbirds death screen with that noise that sounds like a bird in the original Bioshock. I mean that's ultra nerd territory there.

I think its a nice coincidence but at the same time it would be awesome for it to actually become canon in the story :)

It's a good coincidence.

Even though theres no doubt they didn't even know they'd be working on Infinite 7 years ago, this kind of gives me chills.

It's like a ghost really and makes you think that Columbia and Rapture were closer to each other than we initially thought.

To think though: Columbia and Rapture both went to hell around the same time :P

@TheOneEyedHound

Oh yeah. Stupid me. But then again there was some wibbly wobbley timey wimey stuff, what with tears and everything.

No they didn't Columbia 1912, Rapture 1959
Sheikah  +   1043d ago
oh, yeah.. The years did kill it :p.

Nice catch

Now I'll have to pick it up soon though, that clip looked great.

PS: didn't pick it up, yet, due to lack of time ad excess amount of games atm.

The team got the Song bird sound by going back and gathering sound(Fitzpatricks death)
No way irrational had this plot by that time.

It was probably a whale in the first Bioshock.
Vladplaya  +   1043d ago
This ^

Although I am not sure if team realized that they can tie that sound to the songbird and actually made the songbird sound kinda like a whale, or it was all just a coincidence.

Whoa, dude.

Played all the bioshocks now.

The original is easily the best.

Infinite is good, but feels very scripted tbh. Like a gears game or something.

Walk around the corner, enemies, kill a couple, hear the clear round sound, chat, move on enemies again, chat. setpiece, chat, kill some people.

The best thing about it is the couple that stand there asking heads or tails etc.
