I wish I could read the rest of the article but I have yet to finish the game, so I don't want the spoilers. But from what I read, I agree with the author. Aesthetically, its beautiful. But for some reason, there is just something missing in this game that bars me from drooling over it like I see so many others (my own words). In fact, their love of this game is what pushed me to complete it. I thought about returning it.

It's just missing that "draw in" factor that BioShock had. Maybe its the open air environment that doesn't make you feel claustrophobic. Or is it the bright colors of the world? It's just missing something that I can't lay a finger on. The first is still King in my book.
