Thief Interview: 'It's Easy To Fall Into The Trap Of Trying To Please Everyone'

Matthew Pellett: ''Haven't read our first impressions of the rebooted Thief? You need a quick catch-up session. Done? Then it's time to sit down with Eidos Montreal's Stephane Roy and Daniel Windfeld Schmidt as we quiz them about bringing Thief back to the masses...'' (Daniel Windfeld Schmidt, PC, PS4, Stephane Roy, Thief, Xbox One)

Thief has always been a hit or miss for me during the time of its original release. When I see more gameplay I will make my decision, other than that great interview post.

Well it's obvious what you'll probably end up doing looking back at some titles this gen

Go where the money is....probably end up dumbing the franchise down to try to appeal to more people despite Thief already having quite a big fanbase. I'm not saying it will...it might not but most old franchise which get a game this gen end up becoming "accessible" as developers like to put it.

Starhawk comes to mind.
Lightbox tried so hard to please everyone (COD fans included) that they lost track of what made Warhawk brilliant.
