Edge Magazine: ''The Witcher 3 will be a true next generation videogame as releasing the title on PS3 or 360 would compromise its ambition, CD Projekt has told us.''
Given the medium's wild diversity, this primer of the essential video games everyone should try is a good place to start.
I can't fk with this list. They missed on alot of games probably before the writers times. Also I know people loved some portal but I was never a fan.
Tomb Raider 1
Driver 1
Abe’s Odyssey
FF6
King of Fighters 94
Mortal Kombat OG
LINK 2 the past
Street Fighter 2
Resident Evil 1
Infinite but not the first two games? Witcher 3 but not the first two games?? GTA V but not literally any of the games before it??? Portal 2 but not the first? Also if you're going to play Shadow of The Colossus play the remaster and not the remake. Can't say I disagree with the list but my man it's all over the place.
Awesome list! Hot take on Fear (and it's hard af expansion Persaus Mandate!) Bioshock Infinite is stellar, so is the Witcher 3 and you nailed it by having Ocarina of Time. So many fantastic games! Gotta play 'em all! Next one on my list is Prey after I beat Dead Space 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction.
Wealth of Geeks explores some of the best gaming romances that have stolen our hearts over the years.
Daman Shelley from NoobFeed writes - Dragon's Dogma is truly a one-of-a-kind game, and there really is no other game like it, but there are a few that come close. Whether with their fantasy settings, the ability to climb mountains, or just with the overall same charm as Capcom’s iconic RPG. Here's a list of games that will hopefully scratch that Dragon's Dogma itch.
I can still hear the title screen music in my head after nearly 12 years. Loved every minute of it.
I have no issues filling my time til DD2.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Infinite Wealth and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will probably me more than enough.
More terrified I won't be done in time.
Try not to burn yourself out before the game releases. This is going to be a long and immersive RPG like the first one.
The games in this article are all great and I believe the people who are excited for Dragons Dogma 2 probably already played most of those games.
For now, I recommend you prepare yourself for long play sessions if you will be picking up Dragons Dogma at launch.
I gotta agree with the guy though. On one and, cross gen is good because late adopters of next gen can enjoy new games on current gen consoles. But at what point will we start getting DEDICATED next gen games that don't happen to also be first party (I know, next gen isn't here yet, but the launch is looking to have many cross-gen games, as opposed to dedicated next gen (at least from 3rd parties))? Look at Watch Dogs, BF4, etc...I wonder if they will STILL do cross gen in their next sequels, or if they will use the full power of the next gen consoles (not just graphics, but RAM and computing power too).
But then again, the current gen has millions of users between PS3, and Xbox 360. That's A LOT of money to be made also...
Why waste time on last gen. hardware if you are trying to make a next gen. title of this magnitude? If some outside party wants to give it a shot let them scale it down but their (the developer) focus should remain on their vision.
That's all good and dandy. But the pressure's now on CD Projekt. If the console version of The Witcher 3 doesn't look as good as the cross gen titles, then it'll be embarrassing and awkward.
Well, it will be sort of interesting to see the side by side comparisons of the same games running on ps3 vs ps4.
Good point, we need only Next Gen games. My last PS3 games will be GTA V, Last of Us and Beyond , no more.
