Are you a game collector or hoarder?

We all like to find great deals on video games. We all love to to play the latest and greatest video games. But when is taking advantage of great deals going too far? (PC, PS3, Retro, Wii, Xbox 360)

I have almost 300 games, and barely play a lot of them. From Master System, and NES all the way to PS3. But I don't wanna sell them. It feels nice to have the copies physically in my hand.

Still have the original Phantasy Star that my big sister passed down to me. I wasn't even born when many of these games came out lol.

LOve Phantasy Star. My all time favorite

Seriously it really is amazing! I never played it until the time I had my N64/PS1/Saturn. My sister had it in her collection, and told me to play it after I finished FF 7 (my first JRPG). So I played Phantasy Star and was blown away by it even though I played it late. So I can't imagine what it was like for people who played it when it first came out. Simply mindblowing.

I'm both a collector and hoarder. I have games that I bought years ago, left unwrapped. I say that I'll play them one day, but I never do. Time seems to go by to quickly anyway to be able to play them.

I keep all the games I buy, I never trade or sell.

I collect games, still have everything from my NES/Genesis/Dreamcast and newer games as well. I have pretty close to 300 Xbox 360 games right now, I'm going for a complete Gamecube and Dreamcast collection as well. I'll stop gaming when they cut out physical media.

I play games and collect the ones I like or that I think will become valuable like Suikoden II. And because of the PS3 architecture there will be a gazillion of games that will stay trapped in this gen so you can be sure that there will be many games from this gen that will be very valuable in the near future. MGS HD Collection is already starting to raise in price!

I have 100's of games from Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, Playstation, Playstation Portable, Playstation 2, Playstation 3... and I still have them all. I never trade my games. It seems I am attached to them and have developed a bond. If I were to lose them something in me dies, even if I don't play them. They define a part of my childhood :(

Yeah, I'm a game hoarder. :O

I call myself a collector, but my wife says I'm a hoarder. Between the PS1, PS2, PS3, Gamecube, NES, SNES, and Atari 2600 I've probably got around around 650 games. Close to 250 or so of those are for the PS3.

I'm a compulsive hoarder. 458 Steam games. Probably another 300 through GoG and Gamersgate, and older retail. Console games probably around 500. Don't have time to play them.

I collect and end up being a hoarder..

I collect retro systems and games, but I don't care for collecting sealed boxed versions or whatever, I like playing my retro systems and games.

I am more of a collector thus I don't have too many PS3 and XBox360 games.

No complaints because I'm that sort of gamers who takes time to really enjoy not only the game playabilty side of things but also the little bits and pieces of aesthetics inside the game like the backgrounds/surroundings, load of options to prepare the game to suite my preference, I also check out if there are any special features to look forward to.

So in turn it takes ages for me to finish games unlike others who actually clock their gameplay and simply post it for bragging rights.

I am a player I have a Sega Genesis in my 4 year old room he has been playing that since 2. Keep the Dreamcast down stairs, you cant beat DC for fighters or Crazy Taxi. Dreamcast really was the best system ever made. Screw PS2 and the lies of emotion engine. Also old XBOX Got to love the fat controller as well as the PC. and upstairs I have the PS3 the PS2 the 360 and Wii U. WII U is great btw my son loves Lego City, and the new Need for Speed is the best one since the 3DO version.
