Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel Review: Hollow Point | Polygon

Polygon: "By dumbing down encounters and emphasizing overkill, Visceral Montreal has removed the necessity of cooperation and strategy that made up the series' (albeit unrealized) potential. The changes in Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel don't make for a more appealing mass-audience shoot-em up — the result is a final, underwhelming swan song for a series that never lived up to the hype, and one I had started to forget by the time I was finished playing."

The story is too old to be commented.

Pros:
Carnage
Misogynistic comments
Gay jokes
2-player hotseat

Looks like what this franchise embodies from the get-go. Including the hilariously lame comments/jokes that I find amusing.

Now it has Destructable env. among other things.

This writer, who wrote this review. Was he alone playing this accompanied with a comp controlled sidekick? Sounds like it. I'm in for it anyways.

I'm a big fan of the franchise but even I have to admit that this is a weak entry. It lacks all the dumb charm of the first two and the gameplay has been stripped down to the bare bones.

Have you played it? Then I am sorry. Yeah I liked the first 2. Worth the money for sure

Haven't bought it yet though. I have to test the demo with my pal - Rios. :)

Played and beat it. Pretty lackluster all around.

Damn.

I just read a review more and it gave a bad taste to it. I will stay away from AoT:DC for sure now.

Thanks for the input, ab5olut10n. Appreciated.
