Tim Schafer on PS4: “We’ve got guys playing with the features to see what we can do with it”

PM: Double Fine boss Tim Schafer has been speaking about the studio’s contact with PS4, saying that Sony approached them and asked what they wanted from “this new box”, adding, “we’ve already got some guys playing with some of the new features to see what we can do with it.” (PS4, Tim Schafer)

Sounds to me more and more like Sony is getting rid off that red tape cliff b was talking about. That freedom with the indie stuff is one of the things that will set them apart going forward.

It's obvious that somebody at Sony has finally had their ego checked. As much as I hate Microsoft, maybe the fight this last generation was necessary to shift Sony's way of thinking.

The acclaim indie games like Journey got probably didn't hurt either.
