Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s Wii U Changes Are Based On Player Feedback

In a hotel suite, not far from the PAX East 2013 show floor, Square Enix was showing off the upcoming Wii U version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Given that the game will soon be two years old, does the port pack enough brand new material to warrant additional time spent with Adam Jensen? That’s what developer Eidos Montreal is assuming and hoping. (Eidos Montreal, Square Enix, Wii U)

I'm not sure if it will net too many sales from people who bought the original, but for Nintendo-exclusive owners, this should definitely be appealing, and fans that skipped the original due to online criticism may be a little more interested.

I haven't played the original, so I'm personally pretty stoked to check it out on Wii U. Also, I'm pretty happy that Square Enix is supporting the Wii U at all, even if it is just an enhanced port of an older game.

Day 1 purchase for me.

Nintendo needs to secure more games like this. If they insist on porting games that are several years old, at least add a lot of enhancements.

I admit, I was fairly skeptical when I heard it was another older release, but upon hearing that they were doing a lot to revitalize the game sparked my interest. THIS is how you rerelease a game.

I kinda feel sorry for WiiU owners despite some little changes they still gonna have to pay 50 bucks for a port while original pc or console edition can be aquired for less than $20 with dlc, on the other hand good for them, i think any 3rd party title on that console should be a thumbs up !

I agree. The Only thing that makes me wish I had a WiiU is the new reworked Boss fights. We still don't know how they've changed, but just knowing they've been fixed in some way make it very appealing.

This is shaping up to be a great addition to the Wii U library, yes it may be a port but with the amount of effort going into it it's worth the price tag.

So it's based on user feedback, but it's not available on the platforms said users played it on. Thanks guys! We'll do business again soon.
