"But one of the strongest elements of the re-release is the score, which has been lovingly remixed. The music now evokes a more sophisticated mood than it did previously, and it’s something that adds greatly to the feel of the game."

I will be the judge of that!

Downs : Owners of the original should get a free upgrade.

Surely that means we could all just buy it for £3 on Amazon and save ourselves a tenner when it comes out on steam. He sure didn't think that point through

The Main reason and good thing about it's re-release is the re-birth of the community.

That is all it really is.

A re-gathering of all the fans who can now play multi-player once again via steam.

It's in Walmart for $9.99 for 4 games. AoE, AoE:RoR, AoE2, and it's expansion. Dont know if the HD transition makes any difference but at least we dont have to rely on Hamachi or use annoying IP softwares to connect to each other since this one is using Steam.

Teutonic Knights all the way. I hope they at least buffed the AI instead of it trying to attack with the same unit composition plus 1 priest.

I prefer this AoE2 over Starcraft 2, which is the CoD of RTS games.
