Limbo (game) is a puzzle platformer, developed by indie developer Playdead.
6/10 - this is a joke right? A game that has metacritic scores of 90 above in some cases. Scored 10/10 on a whole load of sites... was this an April fools?
No April fools... just a fool looking for attention. LIMBO is a great game, and this review is a couple years late.
Prob because they realized besides the art style there is nothing special about this 2 hour game. One of the most pointless games I've ever bought.
Agreed! extremely over rated game.
SIX????!!!! like really? O.o his one para of "review" pretty much sums it up. #lame
Agreed. This really wasn't a review. At the very least, it's someone who decided to write a paragraph or two about a game that came out years ago. I'm not faulting the reviewer for the 6/10 score; everyone has their opinions. But the least this reviewer could do is make a better case for their verdict.
awesome game! one of the best yet simple games ive ever played. no idea why some sites review games so late after they are released. prob just a guy with a blog and not enough funds to get new games when reading the review i get the impression that he is mad that he wasnt that good at the game and he paid too much for it. for one the game is on sale like 1-2 times a month for 2-3 dollars, and another thing is the game isnt that hard really, it requires just enuff time and thinking to make it enjoyable and not be a pushover. of all puzzles in the game i think only 1-2 of them had me stuck for 5 mins or so if that long. the end sequence was the most difficult but still really cool.
Fantastic game, can't wait for the sequel..
6/10? 2deep4u I guess. Lemme guess, you also hated the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion too right?
To be honest I thought this game did a poor job compared to the flash game 'Coma,' in terms of having a deeper meaning. Criticize me all you like, but this game has very few clues to give the real meaning behind the game away. The game Coma does this much more brilliantly, it gives some much less indirect clues, but the actual meaning can be easily established in the mind of the player. Coma gives you much more ways to interpret the game and its only a 20 minute game. LIMBO is really nothing but a puzzle platformer game - and I admit the puzzles were made very well. It sets the scary mood well and everything, but it gives a false impression that the game is a deep, philosophical type game when it is hardly. Meta score is 88 on steam, but what does that mean? Pretty much nothing, you can only judge a game in your own eyes, not somebody elses. The guys that gave this game an 88 are the same guys that gave Proteus an 80 which kinda horrifies me. Games like Proteus shouldn't even be on steam. Proteus is basically a microsoft paint map that you can walk around with some background music. Do you guys seriously want 10 more games like this to be made?
