Weekly Sales Analysis, 23 March - Gears of War, Luigi's Mansion

Overall hardware sales increased by five percent week-on-week. Week-on-week sales are up for the next generation platforms, and down for the current generation of platforms. Year-on-year sales are down 30 percent. Also no platforms are up year-on-year. The Wii has dropped by 73 percent, the biggest by percent, while the Vita has the smallest drop at 14 percent.

Eight games debuted in the top 30 this week. Gears of War: Judgment (X360) debuted at the top of the software charts with sales of 776,052. The game launched worldwide.

Software milestones this week in the top 30: Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS) passed the three million mark. (3DS, Nintendo DS, PC, PS Vita, PS3, PSP, Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360)

Wii u up by 31000 units from last week its an improvment but it def needs more.
