Ghost's Backstory Could Make a Great Call of Duty Campaign

OnlySP: Call of Duty is a franchise known primarily for its multiplayer offerings, as the campaigns offered in the series are usually considered to be basic tutorials for what’s to come in multiplayer, most seasoned players would say. However, with recent rumors for Call of Duty: Ghost flying around, I got my detective hat on and did a little background search on Ghost, one of the main characters from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, who also happens to be a fan favorite.

Precisely why the franchise hasnt interested me in years.
The only ones I loved were part 1 and 2 and they were both firmly about the Single Player campaigns.

I agree but I also liked 4. The story was really good, even if the focus on MP began here.

Another thing to note is primarily the reason why people like the character "Ghost" is because of his mask. Unless there is another reason that no one else pointed out after so many years.

But if this is the reason for this character's revival, it just means he is empty. The basis for the next campaign is a faceless character, so anything is possible. Yet, their last 2 games didn't have a such a great story.

Which will impact the creation of their next story more? Nothingness or their most recent campaigns?

Also focusing on story alone doesn't make the story great. I wonder if IW lost their ability to make a good story, this next game will prove that.

Nothing new, many know that Activision already stated that a COD will be released every year.

They have like 3 to 5 devs working on COD games.

Oh god just what we need COD prequels.

Ghost is an ok character but what we have seen from him so far he does not look like a Nathan Drake, Solid Snake or Master Chief...apart from his cool looking skull mask I dont see whats interesting about him.

Activision is just running out of ideas for COD because it has been milked to kingdom come so they want to go back into time.

what i wanna know is how people can even care for COD characters, they have almost no back story or anything meaningful about them, they are a dime a dozen to me honestly, when i saw soap die i couldnt care less, but when i saw zack die in crisis core,or seeing raiden get run over by that huge boat was more meaningful than that whole death scene
