Mojang announce Minecraft 2.0

Mojang have just announced the immenant arrival of Minecraft 2.0.

Hopefully it is scheduled to be released within the next two months after spending the past two years in development, and is set to "bring block simulation games to the next level." The new game is set to completely overhaul the original game and contains weeks worth of new content and blocks. (Culture)

Ha...despite being an April Fools, some parts of this actually sounds pretty amazing.

Obtain magic by finding a rainbow, horses as animals, Mud blocks, dyed glass, sky islands, 6 new biomes etc

Most of these things (the sane ones) should be in the actual game.

Haha, they could put all that in the game now. Great thing about Minecraft is that you can keep adding more stuff. Only time a Minecraft 2 would be released is to make a whole new engine.
