A Look Back: Top 10 X-Ray Moves in Mortal Kombat (2011)

The Hergula: “Mortal Kombat” has always been known for its violence and disturbing brutality. In this game they decided to step it up a notch and create something called an X-Ray move, for every single character in the roster. The X-Ray moves are very powerful and they can be triggered when a certain bar reaches the maximum. Then the heavy damage move can be executed, where the camera provides an internal view of the character receiving the blow, in other words, the defending character. During this move, the players can see bones shattering, organs being punctured and much more. With 32 playable characters, DLC´s included, there are 32 visually stunning and disgusting X-Ray moves, not counting Bosses. So after nearly two years since the game was originally released, it is time to rank the X-Ray moves, according to The Hergula. This top 10 list focuses on the visual effect of the move, including the sound effects, excluding the damage and strategy of the moves. While some may feel that it might be a little late for the list, I feel that there is never such a thing as an “old” list, just new writers, for an old topic. (Culture, Mortal Kombat 9)
