EA has responded to Geekpulp about the region locking found in the online section of Army of Two, they have some valid reasons but Lag and international play is not one of them.
Neil writes: "Each and every week a great deal of cash is saved with Xbox gamers purchasing some of the very best games at cut-price rates. Guess what? Yep, we're doing that again this week with the multitude of Xbox One and Xbox 360 bargains found in the Xbox Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale for 18th-24th August 2020. And it's helped that the Ultimate Game Sale is included too."
Neil writes: "With the delay of many AAA titles, and the move into the summer period, it is still a little quiet on the new games front. But that in turn at least gives us the chance to crack on with knuckling down with our huge list of older games that we've been meaning to play. It does however also mean that in order to keep that backlog list topped up, even more Xbox games will need to be purchased - and that is where the latest Xbox Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale comes in. The latest one - that working between the 7th-13th July 2020 - offers plenty of great discounts on numerous Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles."
Neil writes: "It doesn't matter how many games you have in your digital library nor how large your backlog of shame is - when the opportunity comes around to get access to new cheap gaming experiences, it's hard to say no. And that is what is happening again this week as hot on the heels of one great sale, comes another, with the Xbox Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale for 9th-15th June 2020 providing many stunning Xbox One and Xbox 360 games at heavily discounted prices. The question is, what will you be picking up this week?"
I make the statement regarding to the picture of the game. That would suck, i like playing with my american friends..
...but for those of us in Asia and Oceania, the lag between us and people in the EU or US sucks. Massively. As in, COD4 becomes completely unplayable due to lag when there's even one European or North American in the game.
I know for many people this regional thing stinks, but for me and a lot of others, this is awesome. No lag = great fun.
Of course, it'd be better if they just gave you the option of choosing who you want to play with.
MAKE it an OPTION.
Or heck, online do Coop internationally.
"This deterministic approach applies to both PS3 and 360. Something to note as well is that Resistance: Fall of Man was also region-locked when it started."
Now get to work on NOT making it region locked and allow us a smooth gameplay worldwide.
EDIT: @ Meus. They I don't get why he mentioned it. I may have skipped a whole paragraph though ;D
not an exciting game anyways
