Forbes: Sony's factory in Ribeauville hires contract workers to repair PS3

Forbes reports that Sony Corp's factory in Ribeauville, which had earlier announced 230 job cuts, is currently hiring people on fixed-term contracts to repair aspects of its Play Station 3, according to a CGT union source.

The source said up to 140 people on fixed term contracts could be hired.

When contacted by Agence France-Presse, the plant management explained that there were differences in the types of jobs required, but recognised what appears like an inconsistency when seen from the outside.

The story is too old to be commented.
