The DigiBytes staff takes a look at the zombie apocalypse survival game, The War Z, and gives their two cents on whether or not it's worth your $15 dollars...
Poor War Z. After all the crap they've gone through just to get the game out there, you'd think they'd make it somewhat interesting and fun to play. Maybe they listened to everyone attacking them and just stopped caring. Who knows? All I know is that this has never seemed like my kind of game to play.
Yeah, it really stinks because I wanted this game to be good so badly... All the press that came out pre launch for the game seemed pretty good, but I think they just pushed the game out too early and relied far to heavily on the micro-transactions which killed the experience to me. It's a pay to win game by a long shot :(
Watching the video made me feel sorry for you guys. And Benjie sounded like he was just having an awful time from the start. XD
How long did it take to kill that zombie dam! Does that happen all the time
Ha, it was a stretch for him Meta! Was quite humorous to hear him play the game. And yeah, it takes FOREVER to kill the zombies in this game Derekvinyard13.... Even if you actually buy weapons with real money it's still hard... Very frustrating :/
Its actually really fun when there's no hackers and you're not a complete noob.
People need to get off the war z nuts. If you hit a zombie correctly (in the head) it takes about 2 hits to kill. They are constantly updating the game with weekly dev updates in the forum. For 15 bucks... Yes it's an awesome game. Will day z be better? Yes. But to say this game is terrible... Lol you must not have enjoyed fallout or skyrim. I suggest getting xpadder if you like the console feel like I do. Also I have a private PVE server with a good community called "outer heaven" anyone interested friend me on steam. xBigxBossx
Stick with DayZ Boyz and girls.
The executive producer justifies false advertising by essentially saying that gamers are too dumb to pay attention to features, while also having Big Rigs, one of the worst and most broken games ever to be released, on his resume. It's sad that he really thinks he can get away with all this crap he's spouted. Digibytes has my sympathies in playing this game; no one deserves such torture.
