Meet NAVE: An indie arcade cabinet built from scratch

WWC: "NAVE (which is “ship” in Spanish) is a survival-space shooter game created by a small team of developers from Argentina called Videogamo. What started out as a way to learn about and experiment with the classic space-shooter genre, eventually turned into a full game designed for an arcade cabinet." (Arcade, Nave, Retro, Tech)

I have often considered building an arcade cabinet, but then I think about it, and it's less comfortable than sitting on my ass and playing... even with a decent bar stool. However, I did build me a solid oak gaming center which houses my monitors, platforms and accessories. It came out really nice. My wife and I are building a new home next year (hopefully), and I have a 400 sq ft room for my games and guitars, and I'm designing and entire built in shelf unit to house all my shiz... it's gonna be amazing. You get so much satisfaction out of building stuff yourself.
