Yep, he doesn't get the game. And for all his "draw the line in the sand" posturing, the fact remains that most of his complaints about the game are things that a subset of gamers LIKE about the game. We LIKE that the animation for drinking potions is long, because it requires us to make TACTICAL DECISIONS about when to do it. The reviewer wants a world without consequences in the game and reads like he is a member of the new school of "if the game doesn't hold my hand, its a bad game."

Reviewers shouldn't bother reviewing games they don't understand. They become uninformative for the reader and defeat the purpose of reviews in the first place: to help the consumer make an informed decision. You can't inform with misunderstood bias.
