Could David Hayter Still Have a Chance to Voice Naked Snake?

Junkie Monkeys: David Hayter has been the voice of a couple of "Snakes" for well over a decade and for some strange reason no one from Kojima Productions has approached Mr. Hayter to reprise the role of Naked Snake. While many doubt Mr. Hayter's return, there is still a chance that he could be approached in the future. (David Hayter, Kojima Productions, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, PS3, Xbox 360)

Yeees...

Even if this isn't a Kojima April Fools' Day setup & someone else does voice Snake, he will definitely be back by the next Metal Gear (the one after MGS5).

I'd like to see Hayter do another game. It wouldn't sound the same without him.

Weird thing is he is doing the voice for Metal Gear Rising dlc.

So maybe this was done because Big Boss is getting older

But yeah, it doesn't feel the same with out him

Although i'd be genuinely gutted if he were to leave, i think it's more from the perspective that Big Boss is ageing and they need a middle ground between David Hayter and Richard Doyle who voiced Big Boss in MGS4.

According to the timeline and "From FOX, two phantoms were born", it would be hella confusing having a middle aged Big Boss and young Solid Snake chatting away to each other with David Hayter behind both characters.

Regardless of what happens and if it his last MGS, i wish David Hayter all the best, having played every MGS as they were in their prime, he has given me years worth of memories i'll never forget =)

Makes no sense. Hayter was Big Boss in peacewalker. Ground Zeroes takes place IMMEDIATELY after peacewalker. It needs to be Hayter.

Also Japanese snake voice actor remains unchanged.....

Wait, wasn't there already stories on here recently about David Hayter wanting to take a break from MGS games? I'm sure that was reported.

Do the two disagrees I got mean two votes for no? All I asked was a question. Nothing to get disagrees about. If I'm wrong answer my question instead. I'm sure I read that in the last couple months though.

I doubt it. It's getting close to mgs in the time line and they have always had him with a deferent voice past the fall of outer heaven. Plus since in the gameplay footage ismael is voiced by keifer Sutherland I think the voice work is pretty far along.

I hope that Richard Doyle will instead voice Big Boss this time in MGSV.

While I hope it will be Hayter or Doyle to voice BB, It's clearly not either of them, He actually sounds younger.. Also the Japanese voice actor is still reprising his role.. So why can't David?

Also the "Big Boss" we see coming out of the coma has gone gray but the one at the end with the horn still has his brown hair, he either dyed it or they aren't the same person.. (Long shot as they both have fake arms..) however the fact he sounds younger could put a bit of a favour in this thoery..

i'm probably one of the few (though i'll probably get told my opinion is wrong) but I dont really think it matters too me who voices snake that much so long as it matches his character. To me the only voice change I was ever upset over was the change for cole from imfamous.

I love snakes voice in previous mgs games but the new guy sounds pretty good tbh

I would have been good with the change in VO's. If they did actually get someone who sounded older. The dude in the gameplay sounds younger then that of Snake in Peace Walker. See walkthroughs of that game and see how deeper and more gravily it is. This is a lame person they chose. I'd like a more refined voice for Big Boss, but also older sounding

I said the same thing about the new Splinter Cell game. I will not buy and support a game when the voice actor that created the character, we identify with is no longer used. It would be different if they retire, die or come out and tell the public they won't do it anymore, but M. Ironside and Hayter are alive and well.

I would do the same if the voice actors for Halo (Masterchief) and GOW (Kratos) were not used.
