I was calling this over a month ago when anti-Nintendo fanboys and haters were banking and celebrating on the low NPD sales forecast.

I said "There was plenty of interest in the Wii U and people were just waiting for game." "On the week that Lego City and Monster Hunter Tri come out, sales are going to spike for the Wii U." It happened 100% as common sense predicted.

So long as Nintendo brings the games that people want to play, they have nothing to even remotely be worried about from the PS4,Durango or anything else.

Funny thing about this is that none of the aforementioned games are Nintendo I.P.s which all of the haters claim is all that can sale on Nintendo hardware.

Wow the price really helped! My hat goes off to those retailers in the UK for slashing the price. ;)

Hate to burst your bubble, but 125% brought their weekly total to just under 10K - you can check Neogaf for the exact amount. They cut 150 pounds off the price and had a major software release and that's all they got.

Vita went from 10K to 60-80K in one week. That's a sign of momentum. This is just another breath on life-support.

Also note that Nintendo scheduled a meeting with UK STORES as a RESULT of the DISAPPOINTING results from the price-cut. How selective minds can be.

Great stuff! Can't wait for E3!

jcnba281814d ago

Why did I get dislikes? Oh wait, it's N4G.

PopRocks3591815d ago (Edited 1815d ago )

Huh. That's a pretty solid boost.

Oh well, still doomed, right guys?!

Theyellowflash301815d ago

LOL, where's all the haters at? Oh wait, positive Wii U news.

lilbroRx1815d ago

They are to angry and can't think of anything to say, so they are just hammering us with disagrees and bubble downs instead.

MasterCornholio1815d ago (Edited 1815d ago )

Well its still too early to tell. But the Wii U has to keep increasing its sales plus Nintendo needs to release several heavy hitters this holiday season to combat the launch of the PS4 and the 720. If the PS4 and the 720 are even close to the Wii Us price then Nintendo has to drop the price as well.

Dj7FairyTail1815d ago

and that is
Super Mario 3D
Mario Kart Wii U
Zelda Wind Waker HD Reborn
and few unannounced games

Seriously PS4 will have a tough time against Mario.

gedapeleda1815d ago

Yeah it's just UK who increased which had really low sales already.IMHO nintendo is going to be but hurt this time.

lilbroRx1815d ago (Edited 1815d ago )

Its just the UK? The UK is where they were doing worst and what most people were focusing on the hardest when trying to bash Nintendo for the past few months.

Its funny how the importance of something can do a complete 180 when circumstances change.

Knushwood Butt1815d ago

I take it you didn't actually read the article?

'The dramatic sales boost was due to the launch of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, plus HMV slashing the price of the Wii U Premium console with Nintendo Land and ZombiU by £140.'.

bicfitness1815d ago

10K. I'm not a Wii U hater either, just a realist. No sure why you're celebrating that. Next week it'll be back around 5K.

Dj7FairyTail1815d ago

lol trying not to hate but hating that it sold betta

PopRocks3591815d ago

I said "solid" not "amazing." More Wii Us being sold, even if only 10k is hardly a bad thing for the system. What Nintendo should do is entice developers to get more games released on the platform so as to keep the momentum.

Just wait until they start showing off some new games, all the fools disrespecting Nintendo will have some humble pie to eat....mmmmmMmmm

soljah1815d ago

well what do you expect. retailers have dropped the price to almost clearance bin pricing. this is just 6 months after release. what's next Nintendo giving them away for nothing.

StanSmith1815d ago

ONE retailer did.

Plus, that retailer (HMV) is in administration too.

They were selling them off at clearance prices to clear their own debts. It has nothing to do with Nintendo.

jcnba281814d ago

You fanboys are hilarious, trying to find any bit of negative news about Nintendo. You all have sad lives, really.
