Saints Row 4 Preview: all the president's superpowers | Shack News

Shack News: "I can pinpoint the exact moment during the hands-off presentation of Saints Row 4 that I felt utterly reassured. The prior game was an absolute gem, and I wanted to know that Volition hadn't lost that humorous spark. That point came when, speaking on the new alien enemies, the smattering of games press gathered at PAX East was told:
'It's been fun coming up with a new enemy type that's capable of dealing with the president and all of his superpowers.'" (PC, PS3, Saints Row 4, Xbox 360)

I'm starting to think Volition only kept the Saints Row name to sell more units. The game looks fun, sure, but why the hell didn't they just make it a new franchise? This is ridiculous

I don't understand this criticism. The series has clearly been going in this direction since SR2. Did you even play 3? Laser guns, space ships, super powers..that's already part of the franchise.

What I mean is that if a franchise does a complete 180, why is it still the same franchise? I would much rather have preferred a new franchise where this is the main focus

Hope sr3 fans can sustain the series for them.
