Are Indie Games Enough to Save the PlayStation Vita?

Push Square: "Sony has spent the past couple of months really pushing the PlayStation Vita as a haven for cult games. In the last few days alone, we’ve seen Limbo, The Walking Dead, and Divekick added to the platform’s release schedule, while Thomas Was Alone, Lone Survivor, and the brilliantly brutal Hotline Miami are all also on their way. Once the PS4 comes out, I am more than certain that Sony will see a rise in PS Vita sales

Sony has a few large titles announced and ready to go later in the year. The true test will be E3 (2013). The Vita NEEDS some system sellers. Doesn't matter if they are exclusive or not, but the platform needs games people WANT to play on-the-go.

For me, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto, and Final Fantasy come to mind as series gamers (myself included) would like to see on the platform.

Its unfortunate that the sales of the vita are struggling. I think its a wonderful piece of hardware personally but then again this is comngi from someone who hasnt thrown the money down to by one.

Indie games on XBLA have kept 360 interesting over the past few years in absence of a lot of AAA retail releases. I think the Vita will be okay, especially since indie games are becoming more and more relevant.

Well I can't wait for Unity support for the vita, I will be sure to port over my projects and learn a little bit about console hardware.

Funnily enough I bought one yesterday, I wanted to take advantage of the offers for the Vita on PS+ and I'm sure i't will play it's part when the PS4 is released, I don't think anyone should be concerned about the Vita's future it's just getting warmed up.
