Battlefield 4 reveal stuns with next-gen visuals and explosive gameplay - GameZone Preview

GameZone writes, "Electronic Arts and DICE jettisoned into the next generation last night during a private presentation for Battlefield 4 during GDC in San Francisco. Though the idea of waiting 45 minutes to get into a 17-minute presentation may be far-fetched for some, there’s no question that the dedication the developer is showing for detail is pure, through and through."

I was expecting more from the gameplay side we will have to wait and see what the mp looks like

No offence to the west, but sadly all we ever see in Western game trailers in pretty visuals and explosions. Gameplay is just (sadly) an afterthought...

I'm expecting for the next few weeks will hear more bf4.

the gameplay was beautiful and explosive... and the things that gives CoD 9s every year (except for the beautiful part).... this was stunning.. cant wait for BF4..

The gameplay will be the same old thing, it'll just look nicer. People need to get through their heads that the next gen is not going to be some big revolution in how we play games - unless MS pull something pretty spectacular out of the bag.
The Wii U offers asynchronous multiplayer that offers genuinely different experiences depending on what you're doing, and yet gamers are overlooking it and seem desperate to trash the thing in favour of "the same thing, but nicer looking". And then the same people will be complaining next gen of the games being the same as last gen....I know, because they're complaining about sameyness now, yet can't help but fawn over next gen consoles because they're more powerful.
Devs are excited about the RAM the PS4 has to offer because it allows them to throw stuff at the screen faster without optimising and doing as much work. Interesting art design and new gameplay ideas? Psssshh, look, we can throw around more textures and shadow effects...that'll do right?
Congrats gamers...keep buying the same old games every year and they'll keep pumping them out. Genuine alternatives are available now, yet people just seemingly want a fancier looking version of what they're already playing now.
Sad, gaming had such potential, but it's stagnated in the last 10 years to the point that's taken movies 100 years to do.

It must be nice to have such a positive and unjaded outlook... /s

you may have some valid points, but you lose readers with your doucheness. Real next gen gaming will come in the form of the 'Oculus Rift." (ski goggle sized VR) only a year or two away, but insanely cool

Doing the same with better graphics is fine by me... I'll just bump up the difficulty. As far as gameplay tweaks for FPS... there's only so much they can do outside of pointing your gun and pulling the trigger. The only thing I'm not particularly fond of is the quick time events but they offer more immerse story telling.
