Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Aussie Limited, Chest, Skull & Buccaneer Editions- Too much choice?

OXCGN:

"With Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag details beginning to flow from a trickle to a stream, we have just learned that there will once again be multiple new versions of the franchise’s latest game sold: the Black Chest Edition, the Buccaneer Edition, the Skull Edition, and the Special Edition.

With so many editions, how will you decide which to purchase? The content involved? The price tag? Is it just getting too confusing?"

Included is the gameplay trailer. (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, PC, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360)

Update This is also listed for PS4.

...standard edition for me, not sure if I can honestly handle another AC game so soon.

I'm trading my unfinished copy of ACIII for Bioshock today.

@Bathyj

I wasn't as impressed with ACIII as I'd hoped. The Bioshock game looks great though! I do like pirates, so will be getting this one too, hoping it goes back to great architecture and environments.

It's good, caters for all prices and involvement people are willing to commit to.

Personally, as long as it has the game, I'm happy.

Depending on the game/franchise, I'll occasionally splash out on an extra figurine or whatever.

Whether there is too much choice shouldn't really be a major focus - it's not integral to the game experience.

A 'Special Edition' isn't really special when there are 3 other more collectible versions

I don't hold out much hope for you then. If it's region free you should order it online :) The PS3 version will be.

Why are you freaking out ? It wasnt that different with the multiple editions of AC2 and 3.
rezzah  +   854d ago
Regular edition is fine for me.

The only thing I'm really interested in is an AC Encyclopedia Vol.3.
ScubaSteve1  +   854d ago
