Digital Chumps: "It’s hard to fault a company for stepping outside of the box and creating something that is outside their normal realm of game creations but I really feel like sticking with a Pokémon theme would have better served this game. Sure, it’s polished, has solid gameplay mechanics, and the graphics and characters are charming, but the reality is that a music game needs memorable music. And, though there are 5 Pokémon themed levels included in the game, it only leaves something to be desired in terms of the rest of the songs. As a result, this problem and the lack of features beyond the 5-7 hour game with no further staying power makes the $15 MSRP is a little too pricey for my tastes (hopefully it will eventually drop in price for those who are still interested in the game and feel it’s currently too expensive)." (3DS, HarmoKnight) 6.4/10
