Ray plays Devil's advocate with issue of Microtransactions in gaming.
Video games are no longer just a simple past time. Today's games are evolving into true works of art. Offering intriguing narratives, cinematic setpieces, and profound messages, games can entertain us for hundreds of hours.
I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now
Originally launched in 2011, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to Nintendo Switch, so It's time to look back at the original.
Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.
Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.
The artist behind Fallout 4’s Deathclaw reveals just how bad things got back when Bethesda took over the series
People are stupid I get it. No one should feel unsafe,
But I think they need to talk about why they cut so many corners during the development process and why none of their games ever look current. And why they think all of this is okay while they charge full price.
just makes gready companies more gready. * cough Activsion*
Just another feature or Option created for gamers to have weather they buy it or not. me personally I have no issues with it.
The only time i dont mind microtransactions are in FTP. Since they got to make money some way. I just hate when it increases your stats. I dont mind if its for an xp boost though.
They are all into together i think in the end companies like Actisision and EA...
COD this year will have some sort of subscription base fee on the next gens... being pushed by Activision...
Than you have EA pushing Micro Transactions...
In a year or two when the dust settles...
we will see games that require a subscription base fee and have micro transactions as well...
I hate both practices and will not buy games that have either... at 60 bucks with tax for a game is a lot of money and when publishers like Activision and EA made record profits last year.. How are people still buying the line that game development is so expensive we need these funds just to make the game...
Activision made $4.76bn 2012
EA made $4.14 billion 2012
Now when they talk about loses to tell us why they need Micro transactions and subscriptions, They take a sliver of the truth...
Sure.. instead of 518 million they made 384 million so we had some losses and need to make that up...
those numbers come from old product like for example wow..
How old is WOW?? yeah.. they are still making how much off it??
Come on people with the decline in games like WOW they have to make it up or their stock prices fall...
If that happen a lot of rich people lose money...
Gamers on PC are not buying into subscriptions anymore...less and less every day... why you have things like Starwars MMO... that went free to play cause there were not enough users... in slides... micro transactions...
if we can milk 500 000 gamers of 10 dollars a month we will milk 3 million gamers of 4 bucks a month in micro trans action or more....
Please people stay away from free 2 play, freemium, micro Trans actions and subscription based games...
Vote with your money... be smart...
I don't like EA's scumbag (Pay upfront for good or bad DLC, or you'll be outcasted for the rest of this game's cycle) aproach as they did with Battlefield 3.
I bought 3 packs of 15 euro each, thats not enough!?
Now there is even word that only Premium members get to join the beta, I'm seriously thinking of boycotting them is that happens, as much as i love Battlefield.
