newbreview.com's Adam Radcliffe weighs up the pros and cons of being an early adopter of Sony's latest portable device The PlayStation Vita.
i use it usually when im done after a hard workout at the gym. and my personal trainer bought one himself. ( gravity crash!) just stay away from sweaty people who are on cardio for 30 min, thats disgusting.
i got one of the 3g models from a friend for less than if paid new. But he needed the $$ so i was glad to help him out. I picked it up the same night as the PS4 reveal because i liked the potential they talked about with the PS4 and vita down the road. signed up for PS+ the same night and have been enjoying the perks of that service. I especially enjoy stardust on ps3 and psp and the vita version is a blast to play as well. I can see why some would be put off by it. i mean it isnt like you can convince someone to buy one when they are looking to buy a psp or a vita. Yes the vita has newer games but the psp you can get so many UMD games that just arent available in digital form yet. Both can pretty much play the same ps1 and mini games so the real selling point is its original titles which are good if you give them a chance. i would never tell someone to get the vita OVER a psp but if they arent into the older psp games then the vita wont disappoint. The front is tough but the back scratches just too damn easily. I am interested if sony would ever make a vita with tv out. One that supports the ds3 and maybe even move controllers because of its front facing camera. That would be slick. edit: @tong I guess i should have clarified in that getting a vita to play psp games. Like i would recommend someone getting a 3ds instead of a ds because the 3ds plays 99% of all ds games in addition to its own. the vita doesnt offer that with PSP games. Man i wish it did but to those people i say get both. If they arent into the older psp games then by all means get the vita but if someone was looking to get it for psp games they are better off getting a psp. Now if sony could patch psp digital games to support the 2nd stick. that would make it perfect.
"Now if sony could patch psp digital games to support the 2nd stick. that would make it perfect." All psp games on the PS Vita can use the 2nd stick. You utilize it yourself.
^ @ darth, I would recommend a Vita cause the PSP isn't getting any new titles anymore. I had a PSP, it was alright, played my DS more because of Advance Wars.
I work at a gym, tell me about it. Nothing like seeing a 110 pound woman running on a treadmill for 1 hour XD Was The PlayStation Vita Worth It? No, i'm only on it everyday, not worth it at all /S.
Yes. It was totally worth it.
Completely worth it, I play it almost daily.
Yup. I get sad when my Vita's not around. Wish I'd gotten the 3G, though, if only to have that option.
Hell yea its worth it! Im addicted to P4G!!
When I go to school and forget my Vita at home. I know it will be a bad day.
Yes it was worth it. dont post articles like this and go experience the awesomeness of ps vita.
Look at great games like: *Killzone Mercenary(Sep. 17), *Soul Sacrifice(April 30), *Little Big Planet Vita, *Dead or Alive 5+, *Uncharted Golden Abyss, *Urban Trial Freestyle, *Need for Speed Most Wanted ,*Super Stardust Delta, *Metal Gear solid 2&3,*Playstation allstars Battle royale, *Final Fantasy X HD (coming soon), *Persona 4 Golden, *Tearaway(coming soon), and *The Walking Dead is coming to ps vita soon....and much more. plus all those *minis,*ps one games, *Psp games, and *ps mobile, along with all those great *apps. PS Vita also has many capabilites with the PS4.-***So, dont say the vita doesnt have any games. it derserves to be sold much more than it is selling.
Worth every penny
Wait wait is Walking Dead coming to PSV? Oh **** balls I hope It's true! Not that Instinct game....I didn't think I could love my Vita anymore I was stupid.
