BioShock Infinite Creator Ken Levine Talks 1999 Mode, BioShock Movie And Occupy Movements

Forbes - Irrational Games’ BioShock Infinite is already receiving rave reviews ahead of its official launch on March 26. That’s good news for publisher 2K Games, a division of Take-Two Interactive. The BioShock franchise has stood out as one of the most original game franchises of all time.

BioShock Infinite pushes things even further with a new open world setting atop the floating city of Columbia. It’s one of the most gorgeous games I’ve ever seen, and its story promises to engage gamers in a complex adventure with deep political and historical undertones. Ken Levine, head of Irrational Games, talks about his new masterpiece in the interview below. Be sure to check out the game in action in the videos below. Unfortunately EA owns 'System Shock' and they have no interest in reviving it.. damn shame too, cause after that ending in 'System Shock 2' we NEED closure.

There's a whole other reason that a true System Shock 2 sequel is not possible right now, EA only owns the name, the rights are still owned by an insurance company (this happened when Looking Glass went under). To make a true sequel you need both the rights and ownership of the franchise name.

pre-ordered back in july last year (since it was going to originally be out in the fall).

I think every game should have difficulty sliders so gamers can customizer to their personal level of maximum enjoyment challenge. Sports games do it, why can't shooters.

A lot of games (especially FPS) I'd like to be able to have gameplay sliders for enemy accuracy, damage, AI and life. It would be cool if it only took 1 or 2 shots to kill them and 1-2 shots to kill me and adjust accuracy and AI to make it enjoyable.

I hate bullet sponges and I hate being a bullet sponge (which is pretty much Hard or Easy mode in most games) but I also think when every enemy has perfect accuracy it's unrealistic too.
