What I Want To See In A "Game of Thrones" Game

"With the disappointment that was ‘Genesis’ and the RPG canon installment, both from Cyanide studios, this is what I think should be in a “Game of Thrones” game and what HBO should do with the IP." - FirstDropShow.com (A Game of Thrones, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

to play as Daenerys with her dragons.

seriously, i reckon by the end of the books, some time in 2067 probably, Daenerys will become one of the key figures, well, her and her dragons anyway.

She already is a key figure.

Needs more Cersei...

I hate her so much, but I find her so sexy.

I fail to see how a canon game would work.

The books aren't about epic battles and grand sweeping adventures, they're about political machinations, the byplay between characters, and society, family and class.

Exactly why Crusader Kings 2 is as close to a Game of Thrones game as possible. Add the GoT mod and you're away.

I don't know what the hell Crusader Kings 2 is, but I am about to find out thanks to you.

[Edit] First off, I got about 1/4 of the way into the wiki before deciding to buy this game immediately. Secondly, according to the wiki, "A total conversion mod based on George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy novels was released in May 2012." Out-fucking-standing. Thank you. :)

I don't want to see anything. Leave this series alone and make no games of it. Not RPG, no strategy or anything. Just watch this excellent show and that's it.

Do a real prequel and Let us play the events leading up to Roberts Rebellion and the huge war that followed. There would be plenty of gameplay and would allow developers a little bit of creative freedom.

There were literally tons of wars during Roberts Rebellion, people don't remember because either they're only watching the show which has 1 line dedicated to 1 wars, or they're just starting to read the books. These are the wars that happened during Roberts Rebellion

Gulltown
Summerhall
Ashford
Battle of the Bells
The Trident
King's Landing
Storm's End
Tower of Joy

Like I said, plenty for developers to work with. The mad king killing babies because all he sees are Dragon Spawns, there is a ton of back story to work with and I'm confused to why the developers ignore this.
