Everyone posts that on every The Last of Us article and I agree 100%.

But I don't think you're being generic enough, try harder?

"This is a different kind of zombie-apocalypse though. We won’t be seeing any spore-infected humans on a frequent basis like we saw in the game’s first trailer. The real enemy is other humans. Humans will pop in and out of your adventure either offering help or presenting a direct threat. Each faction has their own goals."

"The reason the infected were shown off in the first trailer was to present the fact that there are infected in the game. Mystery solved. The game isn’t about this though; the real mystery is about who Joel and Ellie are, what their backstory is and why they left the quarantine zone."

This is exactly why I've maintained that this isnt a zombie game. Most the time you will be up against humans, and showing a desperate, ugly side of humanity. When the infected do come, the rarity of the attacks will make them seem all the more powerful.

"The game itself will be one complete story. The end will mark the end of Joel and Ellie’s journey. “The story stands on its own,” creative director Neil Druckman said. Naughty Dog doesn’t want to end on a cliffhanger. While it is still far too early to be discussing a sequel, this sparks many questions on if or how that would ever even happen."

And I love this attitude. This game is a guaranteed hit, no doubt about it, yet theyre not going in with the mindset of it being a franchise already. Theyre worrying about this game and this game only.

Yeah, maybe it will get a sequel, or a spinoff down the track, but they're focused on whats in front of them right now, when other devs with this much buzz for a new IP would already be looking to cash-in, with an inevitable quick follow-up, possibly holding back ideas to use later. I like that they just want to make the best game they can.

Naughty Dog are just doing everything right.
