GAMINGtruth - Gears of War: Judgment Review

"Many times, sequels give gamers the same old thing of what we have experienced out of the franchise. I, for one, am a huge fan of the Gears of War series, and have fallen in love with the game play that Epic has given us throughout the years. But by the time Gears of War 3 rolled around, it felt too similar to what fans have played before.

However, in Gears of War: Judgment, consider the slate cleaned." (Gears of War Judgment, Xbox 360) 8.75/10

Never liked Gears after the first one.

You know I had to disagree with that one

The game went from dark and gritty to bright and stupid in the 2nd and 3rd one.

I dont know if you didnt play them or didnt play them enough but your assessment is totally wrong.

Actually this Gears reminds me more of the first one than any of the others.

He said that he never liked Gears after the first one, which is an opinion that he is entitled too, and you say his "assessment is totally wrong"? Are you so quick to defend your favorite console/exclusive that you attack a man's honest opinion? I hate the fragmented story myself. It makes the game's story feel broken up the way it is told by different characters. It completely takes me out of the immersion of the game. Glad I gamefly'd it instead of buying it.

I dont believe in hiding behind opinions what you say will be held against you. Its terrible how they teach opinions in school. They make you think an opinion cant be wrong.
It would be like some one saying console games always look better than PC games opinion yes wrong yes.
The story really isnt fragmented it told straight through and you just hear a different characters narration. If they kept you as the exact same person took out all cutscenes and transitions it would still be the same game. That fragmented story story crap is a logic over reach.

One thing I love about this Gears is getting to see more the world intact. Gears games are always great just the tightness of the controls and graphics start these games at a 7.5 to 8. This one tells the story in a different way and adds some good variations.

Excellent game.

After playing Gears of War: Judgment I think of would been happier if they had just released a new set of maps for Gears 3. The only new thing I like in Judgment is the free for all and that should of been included since the first one. The lack of maps suck and the fact they removed the locusts from multiplayer ruins the game for me.
