And yes, this include the bold yellow Pokemon flavored one too. The retailer also has a discount and gift card offer for the Xbox 360 plus deals on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, Wii and PC games. Regular 3DS is for $130 and the 3DS XL is $160. Damn, I've been looking to get a 3DS for some time.
I could use an opinion. If anyone out there wishes to comment, which 3DS is all-around better to use? I hear complaints about hand cramps with the original 3DS but I also hear the graphic don't look as nice on the XL due to the larger screen.

Any awesome person out there willing to share an opinion?

Why not just get the Pikachu one? It's a CE, it's an XL, you can buy it today to enjoy Monster Hunter (or some other game I guess) and get it for $160 bucks.

On amazon.ca the original 3ds is 99$. I'm thinking of getting it, but should I be better off waiting for a price drop on the xl? Is the bigger screen worth the extra cash?

I got the original 3ds a week ago for monster hunter but the screen was way small. It played fine but i brought it back and got the xl. Its a huge difference and well worth it. I have not notice any differences between the 2 in the grapics deparment. Atleast not for monster hunter

I have both. The XL is hands down the best all around. The graphics look about the same, which is impressive considering the resolution is the same. Whoever told you it looks worse is a liar.

The XL has a tad better battery life, it's more comfortable for your hands, the graphic quality is the same (not better nor worse), the select - start - home buttons are ACTUAL buttons, the 3D slider now has a "click" to it so you have a clear tactile feedback when you turn it on, the d-pad and shoulder buttons all feel a bit better. Not to mention that the screens are actually almost twice the size of the regular 3DS, despite the 3DS XL itself being only about a third bigger than the normal sized 3DS.

So, almost everything on the XL is better. The only 2 (or 3) things the normal 3DS is better at is:

1. The screens on there have a bit "cooler" tone to the colours, but that's only really noticeable when you put both of them side by side. The 3DS XL's screens output a bit warmer colours, but it's actually a non issue at all, it's just a stupid nitpick.

2. The volume slider is better positioned. On the XL, the volume slider is at the side of the circle pad, and sometimes I crank up the volume accidentally playing, something that never happened on the normal 3DS.

3. More pocket-friendly due to smaller size (well, duh). Personally, that third point is a non-issue for me because I NEVER carry my handhelds on my pocket, I just put them in my handbag - backpack - whatever.

That aside, the XL blows the normal out of the water. Seriously, it's a no-contest, so I strongly advice you to get the bigger brother. :)
