ESRB Rate Jak and Daxter Collection for Vita

The ESRB have rated a version of the Jak and Daxter HD Collection for PlayStation Vita. If you've ever wanted a healthy dose of platforming fun (followed by two less fun but great games) on the go, this might be your chance. Although not confirmed by Sony, an ESRB rating means a port is almost certainly in the works and is probably even in the latter stages of development.

I'm so happy! I really needed to buy this and the Vita is better for me to play games on as I can play in short bursts. I recently bought R&C HD and thought that would be great on the Vita too. Definite preorder for me, I've been looking forward to some new Vita games and this, SS and KZ:M are brilliant! Yes!

If R&C came I would certainly buy it again on Vita! love classics!

Please help me, I have £5 on the Ps Store; throw some decent yet niche PS1 game names at me that I can possibly buy. Thanks.

These games would look sweet on the Vita screen.
I love all 3 games but I really wish they stayed true to the original game and focused on the platforming, Jak 1 was one of the best platformers I've ever played.

I was new to Jak & Daxter as I have only recently played them on the PS3 but the transition from Jak 1 to Jak 2 was huge and the sandbox nature doesn't suit it really well unlike GTA games!

I pushed myself really hard to finish Jak 2 but can't pull myself to Platinum it and still haven't finished Jak 3 as other games came by! Sly 2 made the similar transition from Sly1 to Sly2 where Sly2 and 3 and the latest Sly4 are sandbox but somehow the feel of the game is still there unlike Jak2 when personally I feel like I was playing a different IP from Jak1 which was totally awesome!

Personally I think Daxter on the PSP is a better game than both Jak2 and Jak3! I am very interested in the story of Jak but if only they can make the next Jak more like Jak1...I will be very happy!

Jak 2 and 3 got 10/10 scores across the board at launch, mainly because I think people were a bit sick of the "kiddy" platformers (and on an open world mission-based high).

It's only with hindsight and a lack of recent games in that genre that I think people are looking again at the later Jak games and questioning exactly what was going on.

Like I said I do love Jak 2 and 3 but the first game just had this awesome vibe to it, I loved just running around the first town (with the windmill going around) and watching the sunset and rise again as I ran to the beach level next to it.

Totally agreed, im currently playing Ratchet and Clank on the ps3 and i cant help it but to think how awesome it would be to play it on the vita, Sly, Jack and Ratchet collection would be really awesome games to play on the vita.

Why not put in the resources to make a unique Jak and Daxter for the VITA?
It's bad enough that Vita has a reputation for being a handheld for ports, now it's getting a port of another port.

Because a port of the HD collection would take a small team only a few months to complete, plus a few months for testing etc.

A new game would take a bigger team lots of money and effort.

The two projects aren't even comparable.

A taste of Nintendo medicine i see, however i feel they should simply make every HD collection available to the vita.

These older games tend to look better on a smaller screen, specially on a gorgeous one like the vita's.

With that said; they should add these to the list while they are at it.
