For eSports To Be Taken Seriously, It Needs To Grow Up

Could the actions of a few be discrediting eSports for the many? A recent video captured by Eurogamer shows the more repellent side to ‘professional’ gaming. (Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Culture, Industry, Xbox 360)

A bunch of CoD players getting excitable.

Although if you watch the entire video the voiceover kind of puts it into perspective. If there was £1,000,000 on the line, no doubt you're excitement would also get the better of you.

You see it in any competative sport, just look at football (soccer) to see the tantrums and celebrations players have.

For that much cash, doing what I love to do, I wouldn't care what people think of me. They can go _-_- themselves...

I'm surprised because i thought they ban or suspend pro gamers for BM (bad manners).

To be fair, I don't think many esports fans nor fps fans would consider cod an esport title. Still, I lasted less than ten seconds into the video and can already tell these "esport players" do a grand job fitting into the cod player stereotype, their parents must be so proud.
