With the game pad definitly not.
But for the XL itself, i was actually suprised when i saw how small it was, only about an inch bigger then the normal DS.
It's just the screen that got way bigger.

pretty ugly, but boy is it comfortable. Those grips on the back make a huge difference when holding it

I figured out this morning why the XL didn't come with a 2nd circle pad attached. The 2nd CP isn't used on every game so if they moved the buttons down and put the 2nd CP across from the first one, that would make playing games that use the buttons a pain. As would playing said games on a 3DS that looks the way the do with the CP Pro attached. So the only people who don't benefit from it being an add-on are the people who don't play any of the games that use the buttons. Without counting people who don't have a 3DS, that's gotta be like, 2 people.

I had a play with the 3DSXL the other day for the 1st time and I think im going to trade in my 3DS and grab an XL as there are some amazing games out this year for it so its going to get used a lot.
