Ah, yes, nerds. These examples taken from the Oxford dictionary highlights both the stigma of being a “nerd”, as well as the more positive definition of the term that places the nerd at the forefront of his/her field of interest. As gamers, many of us find ourselves somewhere in between the two. Thankfully, in a world where technology is becoming increasingly prominent, the nerd stigma is receding, and it’s even becoming “cool” to be a nerd in some respects.

Revenge of the Nerds! LOL, it's true though, now these "nerds" make excellent money and get to play with some serious tech for a living. Not too shabby. I'm in IT and love it. Running a gaming site is just part of the fun =) The delusional viewpoint that anyone who plays or works in the video game and IT industry are for losers stuck in their mother's basement is thankfully over. Is that pic James Rolfe btw? ;)
