God of War: Ascension review | PSMania.net

God of War: Ascension returns players to the storyline of the epic God of War franchise. Join Kratos as he seeks freedom, redemption and the clarity to avenge his family. (God of War: Ascension, PS3) 7/10

I agree with some of the cons.
Yes the story was weak. But it wasn't too bad. I knew what it was about and where it was heading. It clearly tells you why are you doing it. My grip was that we get story cut scenes so apart from each other. I played and played, waiting for a cut scene but nothing. They are really apart.

I only had a very very brief loading time during my whole game play.

They did reused some of the enemies from God of War 3 but the ninja girl and elephant were good additions.

The combat was really fun. Yes there was only the blades of chaos but that was good enough. Why do you need other weapons when you are getting secondary weapons from enemies and make some good combos between the blades, enemy weapons and fist fight?

8.5/10 for me. If they would of had worked a little more on the story and created it a little more interesting with more cut scenes then it would have been a 10/10. Ghost of Sparta and Chains of Olympus were excellent prequels.
