TSA: "Deux Ex: Human Revolution on the Wii U will be the “definitive version”, according to a statement this morning from Square Enix. Dubbed, the Director’s Cut, the Wii U exclusive version will feature plenty of GamePad goodness and lots of developer commentaries and in-game guides."
Some ports are confusing as hell though, why are Codemasters porting that awful F1 Kart Racer instead of Grid or Dirt for example?
Anyway, this is an awesome game and if for some reason you have not played yet buy it, it's very cheap now. You can find it for less than $20 on PS or x360 and for less than $10 on PC.
Why would people want to buy and inferior version of the game when they see that an all around better one is coming out?
Console deferment is what I will call this from now own. =trying to dissuade people to get another consoles version of a game than the one disliked by the deferer
You can say, "BUT BETTA GRAFX," but you and I both know that the graphics are better comparative to other console versions, not the PC version.
Long story short: If people want to play this game, I highly recommend the PC version. Controls better, is optimized well, looks the best, and is potentially the cheapest.
Because people won't buy a console to play a game that has been out for a year. Most of the people that were interessted in this game have already played it anyway. What the Wii-U needs are system sellers.
"Why would people want to buy and inferior version of the game when they see that an all around better one is coming out?"
Um, since there was no clue of a WiiU version a year and a half ago (when the game released), they would not suddenly dream it up. That version MAY be the best (content-wise, the PC game will still look better), but that doesn't mean people were twiddling their thumbs for it, either.
You can find it at those prices because the game came out in 2011.
sorry to upset you

lol your comment is so full of uninformed fail. The game isn't just a simple port. The game is actually much better than it was on 360 and PS3 as CONFIRMED by Eidos Montreal.
Sure, you could pay 20 dollars for the game if you want a 20 dollar experience, but this game on Wii U is the definitive version, and not just because of the gamepad integration. The graphics are also better, shadows, lighting, and enemy AI are too.
These are all the improvements that have been made to an already great game to make it even better on Wii U:
-More than a port
-Eidos Montreal says it’s the “ultimate edition of the game”
-Eidos is working with Straight Right on the game
-Deus Ex’s boss battles were originally outsourced
-The three bosses have had their map layouts reworked to provide players with alternative potential strategies
-New hacking challenges are available to players who focus on hacking, and stealth options are available to those who focus on stealth
-Barrett’s map has been reworked to provide a second additional layer so Jensen can hide, forcing his foe to lose sight of him
-Energy system is more forgiving on Wii U
-Can have two energy cell recharge by default on all but the hardest difficulty
-Players can now use Jensen’s augmentation powers more freely
-Improved AI for enemies to include the tweaks made for The Missing Link downloadable expansion
-Enemy cone of vision has been retrofitted into the entire game for the Wii U version
-Missing Link DLC originally looked better than the main game since the developers were more comfortable with their tools when they came to create them
-Missing Link’s improved visuals have now been applied to Director’s Cut full game
-INCLUDES BETTER SHADERS AND REVAMPED LIGHTING SYSTEM
-NEW FOG SYSTEM THAT “MAKES THE ATMOSPHERE REALLY STAND OUT”
-CHOPPY SHADOWS ARE NOW SMOOTHED
-VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS NOT POSSIBLE ON 360, SINCE THERE'S NOT ENOUGH DISC SPACE
-Anti-aliasing also wouldn’t work on the console but is in for Wii U
-GamePad used for new augmentation called Neural Hub
-The game’s Smart Vision augmentation, which allows players to see enemies through walls, was extended and fused with the GamePad, resulting in the Neural Hub
-Use the GamePad to see enemy health, armor type (heavy, medium, or light) and loot
-Can use the GamePad to navigate menus, display the map, augmentation system, inventory, etc.
-Swipe controls
-Grenade throwback: equip a proximity detector that alerts him to a nearby grenade
-If an enemy chucks a grenade at you, the GamePad will vibrate, and you can swipe the touch-screen to pick it up and lob it back
-Touch screen shows Jensen’s radar by default, which is a sort of hybrid between the main radar and the 2D map
-Can open the 2D map on the GamePad and use the stylus to write notes that will appear on the main radar screen
-Use the touch screen for the hacking mini-game
-Weapons that have a scope (ex: sniper rifle) will let you use your TV to center your target, then enter a precision mode using the touch-screen, which displays the cross-hair
-Around 8 hours of commentary from Eidos Montreal
-Icons dotted around the world can activate this voice over, and you’re free to continue playing as you listen
Edit: my avatar on the 360 is dressed like adam jensen to, lol
Even though is a great game and Wii U will have a better version of it, still an old game. Nintendo needs to be releasing new game or both not only old ports.
They never played it, and now with wiiu they have a chance to play the best version.
Yes like Bo2, Sega All Stars, Batman, NSFW, Ninja Gaiden and so forth were all definitive versions lol hahahhahahahahahahaha
No slight at Nintendo faithfuls these comments are more towards the devs. who are really full of shit and now use this term oh so easily to sell old games already released on Ps3/Xbox. And to be honest half of the time with the extra time, extra perks and so forth they rarely are the definitive version and perform worse.
Good example Ninja Gaiden for Wiiu even though a turd game supposedly was definitive version on Wiiu and now it is being re re released on Ps3 and performs better and is an all around better version and Wiiu had serious framerate issues.
The WII U need games pronto! Not ports, but games tailored to take advantage of what the system has to offer.
Only letdown I had while playing the "undefinitive" version.
*shudders*
it is a port, but i'm crossing my fingers it'll be a good port like NFSMW U.
Wait, I forgot that graphics are the most important thing on N4G and to modern gamers.
I still say this isn't really Deus Ex at all though. Its just a pale imitation of the first two that were made by Ion Storm. It does them no justice.
Oh, so now all the sudden you want it... ;)
The term "definite version" seems to be thrown around a lot lately for some Wii U games. Heres hoping it ACTUALLY is, this time around. Also, it should be priced accordingly if they want this game to even sell on that console.
Sorry that that offends you for some reason?
Nintendo get a 1 month old port (Black Ops 2) ppl complain
Sony get a year old port (Diablo III) they get happy crazy
Nintendo get a improved port (Mosted Wanted 2) ppl complain
Sony get the worst version of any port they praise crazy
Nintendo get a new portable Resident Evil, the game is shit
Sony get a HD port, the game turns a classic
I just give up trying to understanding fanboys logic
