Riccitiello achieved the essential job of reforming EA, now the firm must be led by a gamer at heart, writes Rob Crossley.
I think EA is already back at his roots which is to try and squeeze every penny out of its customers. Back in the PS2 days they published games for every platform under the sun just to get money from everybody no matter what platform they were on. Riccitiello changed all that when he first started. He got developers making new IPs which in turn lowered the stock price. Shareholders must have pressured him to get more money in and we got this mess we see before us. EA is back at its roots raking in the money by squeezing every penny out of everyone.
