What is Byrdr?

Nerdluster: So after a week of receiving largely pointless emails from a puzzle that never yielded much more than a few images, a funny phone-based mail service, and a music file I had found what Byrdr was. Was I disappointed in the journey? Yes, I'll admit that I expected more from the ARG adventure than a half formed backstory for the Billy and Eagler characters. Fortunately the result was that I found a fun iOS game that I now want to share with my friends and family.

Did I need the Byrdr ruse to get me interested in the game? No, in fact it sort of detracts from Ridiculous Fishing's ultimate mystery. Maybe now that I'm playing the game I can unlock more of the Byrder puzzle but at the moment it seems pretty much locked down. If there is something more to this whole interaction between the fans and Vlambeer's new game then you'll soon see me very impressed but if this was the full extent I'd say it was a waste of time and effort. (iPad, iPhone, Ridiculous Fishing)
