Lego City: Undercover releases today… Except it’s missing from stores

Today is the official release date from Lego City: Undercover, but it's missing from actual stores for some reason.

What happens sometimes is that the distributor does not actually ship it until the release date. This is how it used to be years ago, before they started trusting retailers not to break street date. Sadly you often times don't know if it will be in unless you are chummy with your game store and they let you know if they have it or not beforehand.

I was really looking forward to picking this up today, which would be my first new Wii U game since the system launched, but no stores here have it.

I was able to find it at Target. I would suggest looking there. It is the only store within a 100 mile radius of my house that has it. And every Target near me has it. They also had Fire Emblem when that whole fiasco was going on. But, good luck finding the game.

same thing as fire emblem(though maybe not that extreme). Who knows whats the deal with Nintendo and some recent retail releases these days

Two local Targets did not have any in stock; one employee had commented on how they were supposed to get it Sunday but still hadn't.

He was kind enough to call another store in the area, and they had seven copies in hand, so something's amiss.

Interestingly, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate was also missing at the first two stores I went to.

I want this. I preordered a while back. Amazon says mid April now. GameStop has no idea when it should be in. WHAT IS GOING ON!? Reviews have already come out for this game.
