Now for a “Did you know that?” moment in Capcom trivia

Did you know that Capcom arcade classic Avengers served as a sort of precursor to Street Fighter and Final Fight, but was based more on shoot-em-ups like 1943?

In a video created by Capcom’s Chris Antista, you’ll learn more than you ever thought you would regarding the first three games released on the digital PSN/XBLA compilation known as Capcom Arcade Cabinet.

In addition to offering a bit of insight into the mechanics of 1943, Avengers, and Black Tiger, the video goes on to note the first appearance of zenny, Capcom’s go-to currency for many of its games, including Mega Man Legends, Breath of Fire (gasp!), and Mega Man Battle Network. (Capcom, Capcom Arcade Cabinet, Culture, PS3, Retro, Xbox 360)
