Petition for SEGA to re-release the original Bayonetta on the Wii U eShop.

Bayonetta Fan James Cribbin has put together a petition to get Bayonetta 1 on the Wii U eShop…

Nintendo and Platinum Games shocked the world a few months ago when they revealed Nintendo would fund the development of Bayonetta 2, in turn causing the game to become one of the Wii U’s premier third-party exclusives. The original game, published by Sega, was never released on the Wii so what better way for Nintendo gamers to fall in love with this series, than seeing a re-release on the Wii U eShop… (Wii U)

oh yea, they did release this on the psn. Kamiya was going on about releasing this on eShop if Nintendo would let them.

IF Nintendo and Sega agrees that is.

Petitions won't do much good. The only way to convince SEGA to spend time and money on porting the game to the Wii U is to mail them a check instead of signing an online petition.

While the petition won't do anything, it's HARD to ignore large numbers of people asking for things. From a marketing perspective, if 100,000 people signed this petition to rerelease it, they would look into it because of the volume of possible sales. Doubt this will get much attention, but it can be good.

Kamiya the Director already stated it up for Nintendo and Sega.

Then again if Sega is low on cash to do it. They will offer Nintendo to picked it up.

Operation Rainfall was basically a big-ass petition movement claiming for Xenoblade, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower for Wii.

Xenoblade and Pandora's Tower have been already released, and Last Story is coming soon.

So, yup, petitions can work... sometimes. No hurt in trying.

It did, but it took a long time, too long in NA. It was ignored for about a year+, and then Nintendo did something about it. I wish Nintendo would have listened sooner, since those games sold very well, but I assume Reggie wanted more mini games on the wii instead.

I pre-ordered Pandora's Tower, even though I have the JPN version. That game kicks ass.

I'll sign. Maybe they can do an enhanced version with more content and improved graphics as well.

That would be nice, but it's unlikely SEGA will listen

wrong Sega was the one who decided to advise Nintendo with Bayonetta 2 on Publishing and Funding.

Meaning Sega is likely to work with Nintendo than Sony and Microsoft.

Why because they done collaborations with Nintendo.

Agreed, its not the WiiU is selling like hotcakes... And its quite possible the port could suffer since it would likely have to be farmed out... And, lastly, they would be hard pressed to charge what they would need to to make a profit... It's what 20 dollars on every other console?

That's not a big profit margin...

This would be a great way for those who haven't played the original to play it.

I mean, it's on PSN for like 20 bucks i think so i see no reason why not.

screw e-shop
bundle it with Bayonetta 2. And enable v-sync, Bayonetta suffers from the worst screen tearing on any IP this gen. Probably wouldn't even require a whole lot from Sega; maybe another Mario cross-over in a Sonic Olympics game.

That is Nintendo, if ya don't want to repeat Take 2's commercial failure with Darkness 2 PC. Or ME2 on PS3. Or ME3/Batman on WiiU. Or Witcher 2 on 360 (600k sales for 13 months of delays and optimization).

Dumb to expect profitable sales off sequels when the fanbase never experienced the originals. Bundle extra content so your new fans feel like the wait was worth it.

emm, about tearing.. you must have played PS3 version, because I hadn't any problem with X360 version, plus it's much faster than PS3 version.. no offence, I've both versions..
CBaoth  +   65d ago
sorry chief got achievements not trophies
So I played the alleged "superior" version and you can induce tearing in any street section by simply swaying the camera from left to right. Thankfully it was far better in battles but annoying nonetheless.

EDIT: You might be right though. Now that I think about it, that title might go to BF: Bad Company 1 on PS3. It also featured some hideous v-sinc issues.
