TruTechNoid.com NFS: Most Wanted Wii U Features Preview

With the launch of the eagerly anticipated game less than a week away I thought I’d go through some of the new features in Most Wanted U, which Criterion say will be the “definitive edition”.

What stands out for us here at TruTechNoid.com is the decision to port the title from the PC version. The result is without a doubt the one of the most impressive, multi platform ports the Wii U has seen so far. Owing to the 1GB of RAM available to developers.

Criterion never said 1GB all we know is the wiiu got announced to have 4GB END OF really everyone thats anti Nintendo started saying only half was on retail yet ps4 has 8GB on devkit and retail ??????? look they said high end pc version so the wiiu is prob using 2GB RAM in games.

I'm not sure I fully understand your post but one thing Nintendo has made perfectly clear about the Wii U (unlike the rest of the specs) is that the Wii U has 2GB of ram - 1GB for OS and 1GB for games. That might change with some sort of future update but Criterion didn't need to say anything, 1GB is what they had to work with.

Who cares its all to do with chip bandwidth ram as well and wiiu cpu/gpu have tons more than ps4 and co,and 4x the cache memory,and 1GB coupled with insane cache memory speeds ie eDRAM and 32MB eDRAM is over 140GB of fast Bamdwidth ram on its own,ps4 has only 176GB on the whole console 720 has 103GB WIIU is no slouch and will literally have zero memory limitations because of this,the wiiu cpu has 3MB of IBM eDRAM on all 3 cores basically the future of IBM cores look it up,IBM future cores on all cpu's will use eDRAM Cache.

ps4 has 4GB in retail package prob 2GB for games wow,plus Havok have tech that basically turns 1GB of texture memory into 100MB so Half a GB is essentially 5GB of texture memory,and every game uses HAVOK,so RAM is not a barrier these days.

3rd paragraph down,now please stop banging on about RAM,this proves Sony should have copied Nintendo to keep costs down,silly move as with this tech,ps4 extra RAM is not needed.

1GB RAM is plenty,and wont hold wiiu bk as long as HAVOK is around.

How could they be using 2 gb of ram when it only has 2 gb of ram!?!

I thought the wiiu had 4GB ? but that's the devkits.

As i said wiiu console bandwidth ram is way over 200GB,twice 720 and lots more than ps4 live with it and this makes ur graphics alot more powerful,even Sony listed the ps4 on an online retailer stating it has 174GB of bandwidth ram for even more graphics power ????

Neversoft listen i got that wrong but the wiiu smokes the ps4 and 720 in Bandwidth ram on the gpu/cpu and has insane more Cache memory so its not important.

They managed with a few tweaks to get 6 times the data speed ?? slow ram look in other words they could of went even faster.

@falcon79 - You're a little touchy aren't you? I wasn't "banging on" about anything - I was correcting your assertions because, well, you're wrong.

It is however entertaining to see that you think you know far more about the Wii U specs than anybody else. Frankly, considering the obvious in-depth knowledge you have about the consoles inner workings I'm stunned you're not being constantly harassed for interviews by the gaming press. Be careful though, to an outsider it might look like you're just ejaculating words and numbers into a post without actually knowing what the hell you're talking about.

For full disclosure I should point out that my only console is a Wii U. It's a great console but I'm realistic - it is NOT going to outperform a PS4. Still, feel free to accuse me of being a blinkered Sony fan, it's not like anything else you've said in this thread has been correct.
