Trion Worlds Developer Rob Hill Details Defiance MMO Free To Play, Micro-transactions & DLC
Curious about how the new Defiance MMO handles payment on your console? Trion Worlds Developer Rob Hill shares how Defiance delivers a variety of content via free to play, Micro-transactions and DLC
(Defiance, PC, PS3, Rob Hill, Trion Worlds, Xbox 360)
This game will be the first fully supported retail MMO to hit PS360. If the game is good and sales are good, then hopefully we can see more MMO's hit console next gen.
@Below your right its technically the second. But it is the first truly ambitious cross over game based off a movie or Tv Show. Hollywood and the game industry have never really seen eye to eye on the opposite mediums thanks to poor adaptation on games (Thor, Captain America, Iron Man)or poor adaptation to movies (Far Cry, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Blood Rayne, Doom, Silent Hill Etc.
This will be the first MMO that's reaching the console fans. This game looks like it could work but I'm waiting on the reviews and what people say about it. I really hope it works I want more MMO's on console.
Second actually, Final Fantasy XI has been played on consoles for years. I'm disappointed to learn it's using the pay to win model, so the people with money get to win all the PvP matches and drive all the younger and poorer players away, don't think I'll be buying this game unless all the micro transaction stuff is just cosmetic effect for your character.
Why does the game look like it's always in slow-mo? It's really off-putting, to the point where I could not play this game if this is the way it plays.
