Well I would highly recommend Atelier Rorona, it's a very fun and light hearted JRPG that offers a lot of challenge if you're willing to look for it :)

I have heard the sequels Atelier Totori & Atelier Meruru are supposed to be better but seeing as I haven't played them yet I can't personally recommend them.

They need to slow down .. it's a really good franchise,but they need to stop milking it ! they are treating it like activision treats COD ! and I'm not even trying to be funny ...
