It certainly wasn't perfect but they got their message out loud and clear, the PS4 will be a pure GAMING machine.
Beastly specs aside Sony carved out a graphic vision for their new platform, a promise of gamer focus, ease of development and enhaced networking capabilities.
I realized how great Sony conference was after seeing Samsung Galaxy S4 unveiling. It was more to the point without all the distracting flashiness and stupid acts.

Don't know why some websites try to label it as "alright" or "nothing new or great" when in reality it was a really awesome UNVEILING and it wasn't even meant as a full on conference but instead was nothing more than a MEETING.
I think the medias goal is to bring down all japanese gaming companies.. Nothing but negative opinions about any & everything that isnt xbox related out here in NA..
I would have preferred if they showed the PS4 but it doesn't really matter. It could look like a hobo with a disc slot on his forehead for all i care. They showed gameplay footage, and that is what's important.
Sony's building hype thanks to their excellent presentation. 24 Million people have viewed the PS4 announcement trailer, and all without showing off the actual console. They showed what mattered, the controller and launch games.
To each his own but i believe that Sony did a very good job with the event. What i enjoyed most about it was all the games that they demoed on the console. I was expecting it to be filled with tech demos and non stop talks about the specifications of the systems but it was mostly about the games and the PS4s capability's.
