I used to hate Mario Kart DD especially compared to the N64 version. But the more I played it the better it got, in fact it is the second best Kart game in the series.
Now I know people have been telling me to try Kart 7 and that that is the definitive Mario kart game. I'll have to pick it up and try it for the 3DS soon.
See, Luigi has very deep character development if you know where to look (LOL). - or if you know your history - or if you finish games - or play games well.
