Just Stop! Hey Hideo Kojima, WE KNOW You’re Behind The Phantom Pain

Warp Zoned writes:

"It’s not the Internet-at-large that’s bugging me today, but instead it’s one man: Hideo Kojima. Actually, it’s two men, as Joakim Mogren, the CEO of Swedish game developer Moby Dick Studio, is most definitely not Hideo Kojima. But who is he, really? Some say it’s Cliff Bleszinski in disguise. Is the man formerly known as CliffyB really behind Moby Dick’s first game, The Phantom Pain? Or is it just some actor keeping the world in suspense until Kojima reveals his connection to the game at this year’s Game Developers Conference? Whoever’s behind The Phantom Pain, they think they’re being clever.

No! Just Stop! YOU. ARE. WRONG."

Kojima is just trollin' by till GDC

Edit- Matgrow...if you didn't understand immediately what was going on...I feel sorry for you. It was obvious immediately, within 1 minute of the trailer..that is was an MGS game.

That it was a Metal Gear game, yes. The thirty minutes after was filled with screen grabs, discussion, filling in the blanks and much more.

Then again, I presumed the people reading that post would understand that I didn't mean a literal 30 minutes. Point noted, from now on I'll let you know when I'm not being very, very specific.

Sorry, that was sarcasm. I'm not going to do that.

If you think he doesn't know that you know, then maybe he has trolled you even more than he intended to.

They ARE being clever.

Their job isn't to provide some crappy mystery for you to solve. If that was the case, Kojima would have held his hands up and admitted to the whole thing after the 30 minutes it took us all to work everything out last year.

Their job is to get people talking about it. Guess what Warpzoned: you're talking about it.

^^ This exactly.

Kojima is just building hype till the big reveal and props to him for going about it in such a creative way.

This type of viral marketing is why the industry will never grow up. I'm not saying that's a bad thing.

This whole viral has been hilarious. Even I got sucked in. Brilliant self promotion.
